Jeff Roney

Hi, I'm Jeff Roney. Welcome to my profile!

Jeff Roney's Bio:

Jeff Roney Dares to Dream Big! Receiving my teaching license was just the beginning of my pursuit to many professional goals that I have set for myself. Many of my college classes were taken with the idea that one day the class would help me to pursue a Master’s Degree. Working with my Dyslexia while completing a Master’s Degree program, I believe, has been one of my greatest accomplishments. I believe it will assist me as a future administrator. I will bring understanding and knowledge to all those students who struggle to learn in the mainstream classroom.  As an educational leader, I believe I have the skills to nurture leadership among others in a wide range of post-secondary programs, as well as in business and industry. I share a "student first" attitude that places emphasis on the interests and learning needs of our students. With a flexible approach to students' assignments and course work, I will help students connect theory to practice. I am committed to academic excellence and the development of highly competent, confident, and successful students.  I believe that my prior work experiences, such as coaching; being a site supervisor for the STEP program; a mentor for the Whitney Young Youth Center; a student teacher at both the middle school and alternative school; and as a certified classroom teacher in the areas of technology, PE, health, math, focus, and credit recovery, have given me the essential leadership skills necessary in being a successful administrator.  I have spent my entire life working through adversity. Having said this, I find my past experiences have provided me with the skills that have and will continue to have an impact on staff and students. I have dedicated myself to providing the leadership needed to secure as much success for all students.    I believe it is our mission as educators to help all staff and students, no matter what it takes. My achievements have not been easy to attain. My firsthand knowledge on what it takes to work through adversity can, I believe, certainly help today’s staff and students with their educational needs or learning problems. Unlike when I grew up, our students are faced with far more adverse situations than ever before. It is my intention to provide them with as much care and concern as possible.
